Competition Key Dates and Milestones

Stage One –
Entry to the Competition and MCQ opens October 2010 and closes February 18, 2011
Entry to the competition opens in October 2010 and runs right up to February 18, 2011.  The MCQ is accessible on completion of the entry form, so the sooner you enter the longer you have to complete this task.

Stage Two –

The Clinical Challenge is available from November 19 and must be returned by February 18, 2011.

The stage two Clinical Challenge is available from November 19 and must be completed and returned no later than February 18, 2011.  The Clinical Challenge will require some thought and so the sooner you receive it, the longer you have to complete and return it.  It is possible to enter on the morning of the February 18, complete and pass the MCQ, receive the Clinical Challenge and return you response before 24.00 EST that day.  Possible, but we not would not advise it!

Stage Three –

The Finals and Awards April 7, Pennsylvania.

The finals are held on April 7, at Shire Pharmaceuticals in Wayne, Pennsylvania.  The Awards take place later that evening at Dolce Valley Forge Hotel, King of Prussia, PA.

We will let you know if you have made it through to the finals by March 11, 2011, so stand by!  Please keep the whole day blocked off for 7 April. We will advise on timings nearer the day.  You will not have any preparation to do prior to the finals but will be given an exercise to do on the day.  The results are announced that evening at a gala dinner attended by all the finalists and their colleagues from the US Clinical fraternity.
